Shane Mang is a consumer products expert recognized for innovation and over a decade of experience developing and launching global programs for the entertainment industry’s foremost organizations including Spin Master Ltd., The Jim Henson Company, and Wildbrain.
Beyond leading top-tier brands with portfolios encompassing hundreds of licensees, Shane has developed licensing programs for globally renowned entertainment franchises including Rubik’s Cube, Bakugan, Tech Deck, Mighty Express, Hatchimals, Teletubbies, Caillou, and Jim Henson’s The Labyrinth and Fraggle Rock. Shane is also experience at developing consumer product programs for social driven brands created on platforms like TikTok and Instagram as well as celebrity driven content such as Serena William’s Qai Qai.
Creative and innovative by nature, Shane was inspired, in part, by his early work for Electronic Arts (EA), a premier gaming company renowned for sports franchises including FIFA, NHL, and more. Today, Shane is known equally for state-of-the-art programs based on the latest technology as he is for his involvement in the ideation, development and retail release of traditional products. These range from toys to apparel and from conventional publishing to augmented reality games and numerous other categories of tech-enabled products for kids and families.
For these and other reasons, in 2018, Shane was recognized as a Top 40 under 40 Licensing Professional by License Global Magazine, and in 2019 was appointed as a West Coast Ambassador for Licensing International, the global merchandisers’ licensing trade association. Passionate about developing consumer experiences and programs that appeal to people spanning all walks of life, Shane strives for continuing leadership in the rapidly changing content and consumer products industry.
