Description

Bobby Tahouri is an accomplished and versatile composer, producer, and arranger for film, television, video games and records.

As a young boy, he would tinker on the piano, improvising simple melodies as well as playing songs he heard on the radio by ear. This led to formal piano lessons, conducting and composition lessons in his teens, and undergraduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and California Institue of the Arts.

Tahouri’s professional path in music started at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions, where he assisted renowned composer Geoff Zanelli. This quickly led to work as an additional composer and arranger, working alongside Zanelli and other composers, including Ramin Djawadi, and Heitor Pereira, contributing to such scores as Into The West, Disturbia, Hitman, Iron Man, Game of Thrones, and Despicable Me 2, among many others.

Since then, Tahouri has gone on to establish himself as a composer in his own right, enjoying a remarkably varied career across many genres, ranging from award winning documentary The American Scream, to the bold and dramatic video game scores Marvel’s Avengers and Rise of the Tomb Raider, to Nickelodeon’s highly rated animated series Shimmer and Shine.

Alongside his solo work, Tahouri has collaborated with various recording artists, providing synth programming for Joey McIntyre, and orchestral arrangements for Rodney Jerkins on the Nickelodeon musical Rags. In 2019, he co-produced a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” with the band Evanescence for the Gears of War 5 video game trailer.

In 2023, Tahouri’s music was heard in the Clio-award winning Super Bowl ad for Tubi, and his music has been used in advertisements for other brands such as Acura, Audi, and AT&T. He recently collaborated with composer Lorne Balfe, providing additional music for Mission:Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.

In January, 2023, Tahouri released his debut solo album The Abandoned, a joyful yet melancholic exploration of music for piano, oboe d’amore, strings, female choir, and subtle electronics.
